Predict the Ratings of Clippers Players in NBA 2K21

With NBA 2K21 fast approaching, fans are eagerly awaiting player rating. NBA 2K21 ratings have yet to be released, But we made some predictions about the ratings of some players.

In this list are our predictions for the Clippers’ player ratings in NBA 2K21. The Clippers will again have Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, an incredible duo that automatically makes them a top-five squad. Of course, it also have some other excellent players.

Kawhi Leonard – 96 OVR

Kawhi Leonard

Fun guy, board man, defensive player of the year, 2 time NBA Champion, 2 times NBA Finals MVP and one of the best players of our generation; are all words to describe Kawhi Leonard. Hailing from Los Angeles, California, the 28-year-old capped off another phenomenal season in his young but decorated career.

Leonard was the driving force behind the Toronto Raptors first NBA Championship, where the Raptors denied the Golden State Warriors of their three-peat – Lenoards second time denying a three-pea

Lenoard has been in discussion as one of the best defensive players of all time, dating back to his younger days. Over the past few NBA seasons, he has consistently been a top five player in the NBA every year.

Kawhi has established himself as a consistent force to be reckoned with each night on the court, his ability to finish in the paint, make jumpers open or contested has risen him to become an NBA sensation. Oh, and did we mention he has 11.5-inch hands? All of this combined has made him one of the highest defensive rated players each year.

Leonard is 8th in the league in points this season on a career-high year, and also is having a massive career-high year on assists. Add this to his valuable presence on defense and there’s no question why he’s a perennial all-star.

In NBA 2K21, we expect Kawhi Leonard to maintain his 96 OVR rating after two stellar years in a row, falling just short of a bump in OVR.

Paul George – 90 OVR

Paul George

Like Kawhi, Paul George is a brand new signing for the Clippers ahead of the 2019 season. Also like Kawhi, Paul George is an incredibly talented defender.

Paul George had one of the most dominant seasons of his entire career — averaging 28 points a game and holding a field goal percentage in the 40’s was no small feat.

George was on the shortlist for the defensive player of the year award last season, narrowly missing out to Utah’s Rudy Gobert, who won the award for the second consecutive season. He is the second best perimeter defender in NBA 2K20.

George didn’t show up, albeit an injury might’ve held him back, but he’s come up short so many times in the playoffs that I think he should’ve fallen further in this years 2K. We think he’ll land as a 90 OVR in the NBA 2K21 ratings.

Montrezl Harrell – 85 OVR

Montrezl Harrell

Montrezl Harrell was also a finalist for the sixth man of the year award, but at the young age of 25 many NBA fans have already forgotten about him. An impressive year saw him climb the ranks of many peoples radars and he slowly crept his way up to a solid stat line at the end of the season. A highly praised defender and an above-average pick and roll player are what Harrell is best known for.

He adds a lot of the Los Angeles Clippers’ physicality as a strong paint presence. Harrell can play the 4 or 5-spot with ease and brings some scoring to the team as well.

Harrell matched his career high with 30 points in a 112–106 win over the Memphis Grizzlies. He set a new career high with 32 points in a 121–112 win over the Dallas Mavericks.

He is coming off of a career-year in scoring and rebounding while playing more minutes than ever before. The 26-year old has stepped up in his role and forms somewhat of a big 3 with the other top Clippers stars.

In NBA 2K21, we expect Harrell will just barely miss out on a rating bump, holding onto his 85 OVR.

Lou Williams – 82 OVR

Lou Williams

Throughout his long career, Lou Williams has established himself as perhaps the best sixth man of all time. A three-time winner of this award with his most recent coming this season past, Williams is the dream spark plug off of the bench.

He has a natural gift for scoring and can seemingly break out for 20 any night. But like all of his other successful seasons, Williams hardly ever features in the starting lineup. Instead, Williams is a one-of-a-kind massively talented bench player who prefers to come off the bench and torch teams later in the game.

Another unique role Williams holds as a clutch shooter is the one most often taking game-deciding shots. It’s not often you see a bench player be a go-to in the clutch situations, but Williams has filled this role his entire career.

In NBA 2K21 we expect Williams will retain his current 82 OVR despite a small increase with career-high numbers in rebounds and assists.

Marcus Morris Sr. – 80 OVR

Marcus Morris Sr.

Marcus Morris Sr. is a new pickup for the Los Angeles Clippers this season and is heavily responsible for the team’s controversial image in the NBA Playoffs.

Morris is a good shooter with the ability to impact the game on both sides of the ball. Although his team, the New York Knicks, have seen better days, Morris has significantly improved his game from last season. Morris went from averaging 13.9 points per game last season to 19 points per game this season and his three-point percentage has picked up some, from 38 percent last season to 46 percent this season.

Matching his year’s numbers together ends up with a big bump in points, which means he will likely jump up to 80 OVR in NBA 2K21.

Patrick Beverley – 78 OVR

Patrick Beverley

Patrick Beverley has seen his value rise to all-time highs over the last few NBA seasons, the veteran point guard is yet another renowned world-class defender to this already brick wall like the roster. Beverley has the ability to shut down nearly any NBA point guard and can virtually guard multiple positions due to his wide wingspan and quick feet.

While Beverley starts nearly every game he plays with the Los Angeles Clippers, his numbers this year weren’t his best.

Still, Beverley provides a ton for his team off of the score sheet, and it’s the kind of thing that keeps him in the minds of all opposing teams.

In NBA 2K21, we expect Beverley to take a slight dip down to 78 OVR but will remain a dangerous perimeter defender.
