NBA 2K20 MyTeam: New Fresh Galaxy Opals in Buzzer Beater Packs

On Tuesday, NBA 2K20 MyTeam rolled out a new set of Buzzer Beater cards. So what excellent players are included in this pack? And how to get them? Read this article carefully to help you clear up these doubts.

New NBA 2K20 MyTeam Galaxy Opals and more

The new cards will include brand new NBA 2K20 Galaxy Opal cards for current Detroit Pistons star Blake Griffin and legend Clyde “The Glide” Drexler. In addition, other cards were revealed including a Pink Diamond Desmond Mason with a 98 overall and a Diamond Brent Barry with a 95 OVR. There’s also Blake’s former Clippers teammate Chris Paul.

Blake Griffin

Blake Griffin

Blake Griffin has 22 Gold and 43 Hall of Fame Badges. The HOF ones include Showtime, Relentless Finisher, Back Down Punisher, Fancy Footwork, Slithery, and Clamps, among many others.

The Griffin card features a sped-up jump shot animation that might serve to attract some fans who hadn’t messed with his Pink Diamond. His dunking is perhaps the most attractive attribute. He has a 99 standing and driving dunk rating, and thus he finishes on the level of the Galaxy Opal Ben Simmons.

While Griffin doesn’t have those handle animations that make the Simmons card almost unstoppable, he is still deadly from any reasonable launch pad.

Clyde Drexler

Clyde Drexler

The Clyde Drexler card has all the ratings and badges you’ll want, he has 18 Gold and 40 HOF Badges including Acrobat, Pro Touch, Quick Draw, Deadeye, Clamps, Bail Out and Pick Dodger. But the character model is stiff and has a clunky crossover. It doesn’t feel smooth or as if it will be playable in most high-level competitive matches.

From a pure value standpoint, the best card could be the Desmond Mason Pink Diamond. The athleticism and bounce are noticeable, and the three-point ratings are favorable.

Desmond Mason

Desmond Mason

Also in the set is a Pink Diamond Desmond Mason with the expected uber athleticism.

Brent Barry

Brent Barry

There is also a hidden gem in the Diamond Brent Barry. Even though he has an erroneous weight of 244 pounds, that doesn’t matter in MyTeam.

You cant get caught worrying about the departures from realism. If you play the card as it is meant to be played, he can offer some solid value for you.

Chris Paul

NBA 2K20 also rolled out new Buzzer Beater players and a Chris Paul locker code for a chance at a diamond CP3 in MyTeam. First, let’s get to the code before the absurd cards.

Chris Paul

This is a solid CP3 card, it might even be better than the Kobe Bryant released yesterday.

What’s in the Campus Legends Pack?

Campus Legends Pack

The new MyTeam content drop focuses on bigtime stars who excelled in college basketball. That includes the legendary Magic Johnson along with current stars Carmelo Anthony and Karl-Anthony Towns. Magic, Melo, and KAT each have brand new Galaxy Opal cards as part of the promotion.

The most valuable cards to be found on a Campus Legends pack is the Galaxy Opal Magic Johnson card. This 6’9″ with A, A-, or even A+ ratings in almost every single category. On Magic’s new card, he’s got 27 Gold and 40 Hall of Fame Badges such as QuickDraw, Floor General, Dimer, and Tight Handles. This card is virtual without weakness.

Carmelo Anthony cards are always deadly, and this one has magnificent attributes. Melo’s Galaxy Opal comes with 24 Gold and 39 Hall of Fame Badges including Pick & Popper, Tireless Shooter, Ankle Breaker, Clamps, and Clutch Shooter. Those specifics are augmented by Melo’s favorable animations.

Also, the Ralph Sampson Pink Diamond is made even more effective because he’s 7’4″. From a big man’s perspective, he can do just about everything you’d want from a center.

The budget gems in the pack are the Diamond Danny Manning and the Amethyst Eric Paschall. Both can play above their gem level.

If you collect every card in the set, you’ll get the Galaxy Opal Karl-Anthony Towns, which is a dynamic and versatile big who can drain threes like a guard, though his shot motion is a little tough to master.

What’s in the Leap Year Packs?

Leap Year Packs

The NBA 2K20 Leap Year packs officially launched on Friday, February 28 featuring several Galaxy Opal cards for players as well as Diamonds, Pink Diamonds, and more. There’s also a Collector’s Reward to be had.

In Leap Year packs, gamers will be able to acquire new Galaxy Opal cards for Tracy McGrady and Derrick Rose. In addition, Rudy Gay and Paul George have Pink Diamonds, while Lonzo Ball gets a Diamond card. There’s a Tom Chambers EVO card that starts at Amethyst and can be evolved up to Pink Diamond level.

Collecting all of the new NBA 2K20 Leap Year cards will bring a Collector’s Reward. It’s none other than a Dwight Howard Galaxy Opal card to add to the lineup at the center position.

Other cards include an Alex Caruso Amethyst and a Hamidou Diallo Sapphire item for the previous Slam Dunk champion.

Considered by some as the best in the bunch, this pack contains not only Galaxy Opal Michael Jordan card with almost max ratings across the board, this pack includes GO Derrick Rose as well as Vince Carter.

Pink Diamonds are considered almost as strong as Paul George that can play power forward as well as Rudy Gay. If you are searching for the right budget options and have some time to evolve a card, check out the Sapphire Nate Robins as well as the Amethyst Tom Chambers which could be very useful right at the top ends of their own Evo charts.

If you are able to collect every single card in the series, you will also get a GO Dwight Howard who can easily bomb from three-point ranges as well as defending and finishing at the rim just like a madman!

What’s in the New Year Resolutions Pack?

New Year Resolutions Pack

While the New Year’s Resolutions series is the oldest, there are still some strong cards. All of the cards have evolution options and most of them offer quick turnarounds. Pink Diamond Bob Petit and Gilbert Arenas cards lead the way. However, there’s an EVO card for DeMar DeRozan as well as Rajon Rondo. The featured collection reward is all-time great Bill Russell of the Boston Celtics. Russell is featured on one of the game’s All-Decade teams. His NYR card is a 97 Pink Diamond which goes to an EVO 98 Pink Diamond with evolved outside shot, hence the three-pointer in the video above.

Play at various Domains

It may seem like a trivial piece of advice, but in reality, it is not as many players put these challenges aside. THE domains they are divided into Domain 20, Historical-Domain and Absolute Domain. It is essentially about taking on challenges with historical and non-historical teams (controlled by the CPU) and, at the end of each challenge, you will be rewarded with MT in addition to those earned based on your performance. By playing at the maximum difficulty proposed you will be able to earn on average 1900/2000 MT per game, in addition to two packages that will give you some minor prizes such as contracts, uniforms and so on.

Stay up to date on Dressing Codes

THE Dressing room codes they are essentially gifts from 2K developers. These codes are often expired in a week and some are never expired. You can get these codes on 2K’s Twitter. Most of the time the prize will consist of throwing a ball which, depending on where it will end up, will give you the corresponding bonus. Most of the prizes include MT credits, therefore it represents a fast and effortless method.

Watch out for the challenges

In the My Team of NBA 2K20 mode, there are various challenges available, which are renewed periodically. The Momenti challenges, as well as the multiplayer challenges and, in reality, all the rest that offers MT as a reward, can be very profitable. Through such challenges you will be able, indeed, receive bonus credits in addition to the classic MT that is awarded at the end of the game.

NBA 2K20 MyTeam: Best Budget Cards for the Atlanta Hawks

In NBA 2K20 MyTeam in which you can create any type of team, you like from an immense catalog of players. However, some players are extremely expensive. More importantly, accumulating NBA2K20 mt coins in the game is a bit difficult. So you have to consider your budget when buying players. Today, we will introduce the best budget cards for the Atlanta team in the NBA 2k20 MyTEAM.

90 Trae Young

Trae Young

Trae Young is one of the most exciting young players in the league after all the things he’s done with the Atlanta Hawks in the past two years.

Young became an All-Star in his second year in the league. His performances this season have been great; unfortunately, results haven’t helped the Atlanta Hawks have a better campaign. Still, this kid is already a star in the league and if he gets the right pieces around him, the Hawks could be a real menace in the East. He has everything to emulate and even surpasses his hero Nash, it’s only a matter of time.

This ‘Amethyst’ version of Trae is the fourth-highest rated Trae card in the game and can be had for very cheap. Young is not a good defender in real life, but 2K went a little overboard here. This Trae can barely stay in front of anybody, and if he has to cover a taller point guard like Ben Simmons or Magic Johnson, good luck.

Because of his terrible defensive stats, 2K over-compensated on his offensive stats to get him to the 90 overall, and he plays like a diamond on offense. He carries a 90 three-point rating and all the essential outside scoring badges.

94 Steve Smith

Steve Smith

Steve Smith played at a number of different NBA clubs during his 15-year career in the competition. However, it was his five-year stint in Atlanta where he made the biggest impact.

He made his solitary All-Star appearance in 1998 on the back of his career high scoring season, where he averaged 20.1 PPG.

His incredible ability to score from beyond the arc (93 OVR outside scoring) made him a firm fan favorite and his 90 rated three-point shot make him a fan favorite on 2K too.

One of the cheapest diamonds in the game, Steve Smith is a do-it-all card with a nice deep shot. Hall of Fame badges like Difficult Shots, Volume Shooter and Tireless Scorer make him a lethal offensive threat and is especially good in catch-and-shoot situations.

He’ll work best as a 2nd or 3rd option, but you could build a team around him as well.

95 Dominique Wilkins

Dominique Wilkins

The first name in the list of these budget driving dunkers is a big one. The 95 OVR Dominique Wilkins.

The nine-time NBA All-Star is best remembered for his time with the Atlanta Hawks, where he has since had his number 21 jersey retired by the side.

Whether he was going toe-to-toe with Larry Bird or putting up monstrous slam after a rim-rattling dunk, Dominique Wilkins was always an incredible scorer. After averaging 17.5 points per game during his rookie season with the Atlanta Hawks and then 21.6 as a sophomore, he’d reel off 10 consecutive seasons in which he produced at least 25 points during the typical contest.

However, his sustained excellence as a scorer is the only elite part of his resume.

Wilkins was a good, but not great, rebounder, a lackluster distributor and a star who only played defense when he really needed to. And even then, he wouldn’t fully commit to the less glamorous end of the court, instead of leaving that task to his non-scoring teammates.

His dunking was on a whole other level and he won the iconic NBA slam dunk contest in 1985 and 1990. He also picked up the scoring title in the former, with an average of 30.3 PPG.

This card was added way back in November, and with ‘Nique’s other card is a 99 overall opal, this diamond version has gotten pretty cheap. It can be had for 10-15k 2k20 MT (the game’s virtual currency) and is worth that just to play with the Hawks’ greatest player ever.

This version of Wilkins features a 98 driving dunk rating and a flashy dunk tendency of 100 out of 100. He’s an okay defender and can drain threes if left open. If you can’t afford the opal, this is a great place to settle.

95 Josh Smith

Josh Smith

Like Dominique above, this Josh Smith is a budget version of a 99 overall card of his. For just above 20k, this Smith is a steal and can do just about anything on the court. He has great defensive stats with 95 block, 95 steals, and 95 shot contest, with all the best badges to go along with.

Smith is an offensive force down low and with a 95 driving layup and 97 driving dunk rating, can score at will in the paint. In real life, Smith was never a good three-point shooter, even though he was insistent on taking them. 2K must have forgotten that however as Smith owns an 84 three-point rating with the best outside scoring badges.

He deserves to be on the All-Time Atlanta Hawks if you look at some of the players who are currently on that roster.

92 John Collins

John Collins

John Collins was a sensation for the Hawks last year, it is simple as that.

John Collins is 6’10”, can jump out of the building and averaged 19.1 points and 9.8 rebounds as a sophomore in 2018-19.

The freak athletic power forward was part of the one-two combination along with Trae Young last season. The Hawks are seen as one of the youngest and promising teams for the coming seasons, Collins will be one of the centerpieces behind the future of basketball in Atlanta.

Unfortunately, this is the highest-rated JC card in the game, although his individual ratings seem to be high for just a 92 overall card. This Collins can really stretch the floor with an 87 three-point rating, but also features a 97 standing dunk rating and a 97 driving dunk rating. His biggest downfall is his perimeter defense, but his interior defense is passable, so as long as he avoids switches, he should be fine covering other bigs.

NBA 2k20: How to Build a Competitive MyTeam Squad without Spending Money?

In NBA 2K20 MyTEAM, through a virtual card collection, players can amass assets for their teams or get new characters for their meticulously crafted teams, until eventually, you have a team of All-Stars to dominate the court with. If you are unable to spend money on Virtual Currency, there is still a way to grab essential cards to become competitive in the mode in a hurry. This article will include all the details on how to get more MT 2K20 by grinding the right modes and what to play, which players to target, which packs to buy – or not. It helps you build a competitive MyTeam squad without spending real money.

NBA 2K20 MyTEAM

Don’t Use a Ton of MT on Packs in MyTeam

If you’re trying to build a solid team without spending real money, you’ll need to ensure you get the most out of your NBA 2k20 MT and don’t waste them on cards because it will be a total worthless investment.

It’s best to target one card at a time and to build up your 2K20 MT until you have enough to get exactly what you want rather than risking all of your hard-earned NBA 2k20 MT on pack luck. Don’t get me wrong, you can still use MT 2K20 on packs, but the larger percentage of it should go toward auction purchases. To this, I encourage an 80/20 split with benchmarks.

The more you save, you more you can spend at the auction or on packs, which means you’re increasing your chances of getting a needle-moving card in your collection.

Of course, if you do make mistakes when buying cards it isn’t the end of the world. Just make sure what you’re spending it towards is likely to earn your 2k20 MT back and you’ll rarely find yourself short on funds.

Play the Challenges

Spotlight Challenges

Spotlight Challenges can be found under weekly challenges and, like TTO, are great for earning rewards of multiple types.

Some of the challenges are well…challenging. However, playing through them will render some valuable cards. The latest Spotlight Challenge has the best rewards in the mode.

Understand the Meta

Each year the meta in MyTeam is a little different.

This year, swingmen with length, shooting and the ability to finish at the hoop ar the most valuable kinds of cards. Be sure to target those kinds of players for Triple Threat Online and MyTeam Unlimited matches.

The best players will have the ability to dominate with the likes of Galaxy Opal Michael Jordan, Tracy McGrady, and others. Any of the Pink Diamond or even Diamond versions of Giannis Antetokounmpo are invaluable because of his versatility.

Build Around Strengths

Once you’ve decided on your long-term goals you need to identify what your strengths are and build a team around them. If you’re better at aggressive play then build an aggressive team, if you find yourself doing better at the three-point line then get players who do well at that range. Figure out what works for you and build around that.

Be Wise When Deciding Whether to Complete Sets?

Completing sets in MyTeam can be fun, but ask yourself, do I really need or want the reward that is being offered, and is there a card in this set that is expendable?

Once you complete a set and redeem the reward, you can’t sell the card in the collection. If the reward isn’t worth you giving up that flexibility, it’s best to refrain from claiming the prize.

Core Skills, Animations and Attributes Matter More Than Overall Ratings

three Amethyst cards

Three-point shooting, perimeter and post defense, Clamps and Range Extender badges are the most valuable assets for any card.

If the player you’re looking at has the attributes, animations, and badges you want, they can be more effective than a card with a higher gem and overall rating.

Focus on what matters the most, and believe it or not, it’s not the overall rating.

Really Budget Your VC

While MT is fairly easy to come by, VC isn’t as much. Admittedly it’s an infinite resource as you’ll never run out of ways to earn it, but it definitely takes time to obtain a large amount. Because of this, you want to be very, very careful about what you spend it on. The rule of thumb is that you only spend it if you expect it’ll earn back what you put in.

Buy Low, Sell High

The auction house is a great way to get useful cards for cheap or sell some of your less important cards for a small windfall of MC. The prices here will fluctuate like any free market and you’ll see the prices of things go up and down as the invisible hand dictates supply and demand.

Your best strategy is to buy cards at low prices and sell at high prices. You can also potentially do a bit of speculative investing by paying attention to trends and grabbing the best players during surpluses and offloading them during scarcities.

Keep Some, Sell Some

You’ll notice yourself buying more and more packs of cards and coming across a lot of duplicates. Most will be of players you have no intention of using and can be quickly offloaded in the auction house for some quick MT, but now and then you’ll get duplicates of your favorites.

The best thing you can do is hang onto some copies. As your contracts start expiring you’ll need to rebuild your team and having copies of good players ensures that you can have a strong team in reserve.

Play, play and play some more

The final tip is to immerse yourself in MyTEAM. It is called a grind for a reason, but it can be worthwhile.

The more modes you play, the more different challenges you put yourself in, the better you’ll become and the better your team will become.

Most importantly, it will help you find your style. While there are specific attributes that suit each position, finding your style by playing lots of challenges with many different players will tell you which styles of basketball and lineup compliments your play style.

Although you don’t spend money when you form a team, this does not mean that you will not get some great cards. You’ll have your pack openings, ball drops on Triple Threat Online, vault openings in Triple Threat and you can also head to the token market to get great cards. So, you can build a competitive MyTeam squad without spending real money.

Top 5 Starters for Orlando Magic Available for Purchase in NBA 2K20 MyTeam

The Orlando Magic is a younger team in the league and joined the league in 1989. Looking back on the past and present, what were some of the best players on the Orlando Magic team? Now, we will introduce the top five starters of the Orlando Magic available for purchase in NBA 2k20 MyTeam, including Tracy McGrady, Vince Carter, Nikola Vucevic, Penny Hardaway and Grant Hill.

’12 Tracy McGrady (OVR 97)

• Card type: Prime Series
• Position: SG / SF
• Best stats: 98 hands, 98 stamina, 98 vertical
• Cost: >100k

The very best Orlando Magic player available to buy on MyTEAM is arguably their best guard of all time, Tracy McGrady.

T-Mac was an absolute monster, winning back-to-back NBA scoring titles in Orlando (2003 & 2004) before moving onto Houston. Tracy McGrady is an NBA all-time great and was the basketball inspiration for an entire generation of kids.

Tracy McGrady was just unstoppable from within the close range, being one of the craftiest, most athletic and explosive finishers this game has ever seen. When driving, there was simply no player on earth that could try and stop him, even though Kevin Durant has also always been an elite scorer from all three levels.

Given his ridiculous scoring record, it should come as no shock to see this pink diamond version of the shooting guard handed a 95 OVR on outside scoring and an 89 OVR on his inside scoring. He’s going to cost you a fair whack, he is worth more than 100k, you can buy cheap 2k20 mt through u4gm, with these Coins, you can get him. Even though it might cross out some of your cash, but he’s going to grab you plenty of points in return.

’98 Vince Carter (OVR 92)

• Card Type: Spotlight
• Position: SG / SF
• Best stats: 98 shot IQ, 95 offensive consistency, 95 vertical
• Cost: 15k

The term ‘veteran’ is used quite loosely when it comes to the NBA, but that cant be said about Vince Carter.

Vince Carter took the league for assault with his explosiveness and athleticism, earning the Rookie of the Year award and being one of the most important and influential players of his time, as well as being probably the greatest dunker in NBA history. The 42-year-old has played for his fair share of NBA teams and on Saturday night he became the first NBA player ever to feature in four different decades.

Checking in as the all-time top dunker in NBA 2K20, Carter is a born entertainer and is known for his flashy dunks and incredible ability at the rim. (92 driving layup & 94 driving dunks).

Nikola Vucevic (OVR 92)

• Card type: Moments of the Week
• Position: C
• Best stats: 98 shot IQ, 98 offensive consistency, 97 shot close
• Cost: 7k

A long-standing member of the starting Magic roster, Nikola Vucevic has definitely shouldered his side of the team.

The Swiss center began his NBA career with the 76ers in 2011 before being traded to the Magic just a year later and he hasn’t looked back since. He made his first All-Star appearance in 2019.

Averaging 16.5 points per game as a center, he has shown his strengths in that regard, as well as making sure he can hold a respectable 9.2 average rebounds. Not only can he be a scorer and a defender, but he is also a playmaker, as he has an average of 3.4 assists per game as well.

His rebounding (94 OVR) is his highest-rated key attribute on his card and with high ratings in both offense (90 OVR) and defense (95 OVR), Vucevic will protect that rim as his life depends on it.

’94 Penny Hardaway (OVR 92)

• Card type: Prime VIP
• Position: PG / SG
• Best stats: 98 stamina, 98 shot IQ, 95 offensive consistency
• Cost: 6k

Penny Hardaway is often considered one of the best players that most casual NBA fans don’t remember or know about. He happened to be a great all-around player and is often considered the best Orlando Magic player of all-time considering Shaquille O’Neal didn’t spend too much time with the organization.

The Memphis native spent the first six years of his NBA career in Orlando and made all four of his All-Star appearances during that time (1995-1998). If the team would have kept Shaquille O’Neal and Penny Hardaway together the very history of the NBA could be different and Hardaway, alongside O’Neal, might have ended up as a Top 15 to 10 great.

This card is incredibly well rounded. With five of his six key attributes rated 80 or higher. The only exception is his 76 rated rebounding, which, as a point guard, is still very respectable.

’05 Grant Hill (OVR 92)

• Card type: Prime VIP
• Position: SF
• Best stats: 98 shot IQ, 97 stamina, 95 picks & roll defense IQ
• Cost: 4k

The final name to make the top five list of Orlando Magic players on 2K20 is small forward, Grant Hill.

Yet another 92-rated card, Hill spent seven years with the Magic between 2000 and 2007, making three All-Star appearances during his time in Orlando.

Grant Hill had just about as good of a career in both the NCAA and NBA as one could dream of. Over the course of his 18-year career, Hill was a 7-time All-Star and was the winner of the 1995 Rookie of the Year. Although he never won an NBA Championship, Hill’s individual success should garner him a large amount of Hall of Fame consideration. Hill was also a two-time National Champion at Duke and had his number retired by the College basketball powerhouse.

He only has 80 standing dunks to go with his 98 driving dunks, but he makes up for it with 97 vertical, 95 help defense IQ, 95 pick & roll defense, 98 hands, 98 driving layups, 98 shot close, 97 shot mid and 92 shot 3pt. He can score from anywhere and is a beast defensively, with his 76 rated rebounding the only exception.

Best Portland Trail Blazers Available for Purchase in NBA 2K20 MyTeam

Compared to other teams, the Portland Trail Blazers are going through a difficult time. However, there is no denying that there are many good players in blazers history. Today, we will introduce you to the best Portland Trail Blazers Team available for purchase in NBA 2k20 MyTeam, and see which players are on that starting lineup?

PG – Damian Lillard (OVR 89)

Card typeHeat Check
Best stats98 Shot IQ, 98 Overall Durability, 95 Offensive Consistency
Cost1.5k

Occupying the point guard position in this All-Star Portland team is their multi-faceted star point-guard, Damian Lillard.

Lillard has been in Portland since being selected as the 6th overall pick in the 2012 draft. A four-time NBA All-Star, Damian Lillard is, arguably, the most important player on the Portland Trail Blazers roster. Last season he averaged 25.8 points, 4.6 rebounds and 6.9 assists per game and will continue to impress during his prime years. A player who may be a rarity in this day and age as he’s been with the Trail Blazers since he first appeared, from his debut back in 2012 he’s gone from strength to strength.

Shooting from mid-range (87 overall) is the way to go with this card, though his gold ‘Giant Slayer’ badge will help you to finish well at the rim over bigger defenders. 1.5k NBA2k20 mt, very cheap!

SG – ’76 Geoff Petrie (OVR 92)

Card typeLegacy
Best stats98 Offensive Consistency, 95 Stamina, 95 Hustle
Cost20k

We take you on a trip back in time now as the shooting guard position is filled by Geoff Petrie.

Geoff Petrie had a very successful career with the Portland Trail Blazers. Having the ability to play either guard or forward due to his size, Petrie matched up well against most defenders in the NBA. During his rookie season, not only did Petrie average 24.8 points, five rebounds and three assists per game, but he was also the league’s Rookie of the Year and an All-Star. In his short career, Petrie was known for his ability to shoot well from down-town (89 rated three-point shot).

Sure, Petrie averaged 24.9 points per game and was an All-Star in his fourth season; however, he just didn’t provide the same impact that he did as a rookie. Either way, Petrie is still regarded as one of the best Trail Blazers of all time, as his number 45 is retired by the franchise.

His 84 OVR playmaking will compliment Lillard’s playstyle perfectly.

SF – ’12 Brandon Roy (OVR 94)

Card typeSpotlight
Best stats98 Stamina, 98 Offensive Consistency, 98 Hands
Cost35k

Another little throwback for you Trails Blazer fans here with the inclusion of Brandon Roy, playing slightly out of position as a small forward.

Roy played in the NBA for just seven years, spending six of those with the Trail Blazers. One of the NBA’s greatest what-ifs, Roy was an All-Star for three years in Portland.

Brandon Roy is one of the few players that didn’t have the most illustrious careers, but still had an impact during his years that he was active. Known as Daggers or B-Roy, he was also able to bring about a solid 4.3 rebounds per game and 4.7 assists per game over the 5 seasons he played, establishing himself as not exactly the most spotlight heavy player, but still team orientated.

This card can do it all, with five key stats coming in at 80 or above, his 90-rated inside scoring shows that getting to the rim is the way forward with Roy.

PF – ’88 Maurice Lucas (OVR 97)

Card typeLegacy
Best stats98 Shot Contest, 97 Defensive Rebound, 96 Offensive Rebound
Cost 100k

Whilst the team so far isn’t bad, it really is Portland’s big men who hold the key to success in this team. This starts with the late power forward Maurice Lucas.

After the ABA-NBA merger, Lucas was chosen second overall by the Blazers in the ABA Dispersal Draft. During the 1976-77 season, Lucas led the Blazers in scoring, offensive rebounds, field goals, free throws, and minutes played. He, along with Bill Walton, would also help the Blazers to their first postseason appearance ever.

During his career with the Blazers, he would be elected to three All-Star games. Lucas would also go on to be selected for the All-Defensive First Team (1977-78), the All-Defensive Second Team (1978-79), and the All-NBA Second Team (1977-78). Predominantly known as an “enforcer” in the paint, Lucas was a great rebounder and a few players were scared to put their bodies in the paint.

Lucas is an impenetrable force in the paint, particularly on the board, with a 96 rating on the offensive board and a 97 rating on the defensive.

His 92 OVR in defending makes him one of the game’s best defensive power forwards.

C – ’87 Bill Walton (OVR 96)

Card typeLegacy
Best stats98 Shot IQ, 98 Hustle, 96 Post Hook
Cost100k

The final name in the team is another pink diamond card, and yet another member of the ’77 Championship winning side, Bill Walton.

Walton was a top player who finished his career a two-time NBA Champion and also a former NBA MVP. Walton was a beast in 1977-1978 season, averaging 19 points and 13 rebounds and affecting the game in almost every way. He could pass, defend, score, and lead his team to victory.

Although the 1976-77 Portland Trail Blazers had a strong roster from top to bottom, it was still Walton who led the team to a title. Leading the league in blocks and rebounds per game, the red-headed center thrived on both ends of the court, asserting himself as one of the best single-season players of all time.

Another incredible board player (96 OVR rebound), Walton can also put up big numbers in the paint, particularly with his hook shot (96 rated post hook) and his standing dunk (95 OVR). 100k, slightly more expensive. But you can buy mt NBA 2k20 through u4gm, the price is cheap and the delivery speed is fast.

In addition to the Portland trail blazers, we’ve previously featured other teams like the Washington Wizards, Bucks, and Cavaliers, etc. You can check out the links for more details.

Best 3pt Shooter Point Guards Under 30k in NBA 2K20 MyTeam

Now, a good three-point shot is the best way to win a game. This also applies to NBA 2k20 MyTeam. But in most cases, those three-point shooters are often sky-high. Keeping balance in your team is the most important thing. You need players who can control the situation inside but can also make 3-pointers in key moments, and not be too expensive. Here, we have prepared a list of the best 3-point shooter point guards under 30k in NBA 2k20 MyTeam, please check it carefully.

’96 Steve Kerr (OVR 83)

Card typeLights Out
PositionPG / SG
Team’95-’96 Chicago Bulls
Three-point shot rating94
MyTEAM cost7.5k

Steve Kerr was a member of an all-time great Chicago Bulls team. He also was a dependable guard who could light it up on the floor when his jump shot started falling.

Steve Kerr won five titles as a player, three titles with the Chicago Bulls (1996-1998) and two titles with the San Antonio Spurs (1999, 2003). Kerr won a Three-Point Shooting contest in 1997, his first victory at the event. Kerr also managed to end his playing career with the highest 3-pt FG percentage from the field, although this was later broken by Kyle Korver.

His ’95-’96 Chicago Bulls card may begin as an 83 rated with a whopping 94 three-point shot, but as an evolution card, you are able to improve this card through a series of challenges.

Completing all these challenges will see Kerr rise to a 94 OVR with a 98 three-point shot! Not bad considering you can pick him up for just 7.5k mt for 2k20.

’89 Craig Hodges (OVR 81)

Card typeLights Out
PositionPG / SG
Team’88-’89 Chicago Bulls
Three-point shot rating94
MyTEAM cost1.5k

The next name in the list, and also coming in at a 94 OVR three-point shot rating, is the former Chicago Bulls three-point machine, Craig Hodges. Hodges actually played a limited role on this team, only logging 22.7 minutes per game. While only starting 6 games this season, Hodges averaged 10 points, 2.8 assists and 1.4 3-pointers made per game.

Craig Hodges had built a career on the three-point shot. He’s value was not measured in hitting the clutch three-point shot because he would rarely play during crunch time. However, no one kept a good first quarter run going better than Hodges in the early 1990s.

Hodges was an absolute animal from beyond the arc back in the 1990s, winning the three-point shooting contest three times in a row between 1990-1992, and whilst his card may be quite average as an 81 OVR, he will drain that three-ball with ease. Even better still, he will cost just 1.5k NBA2k20 mt coins. Very cheap.

’88 World B. Free (OVR 91)

Card TypeLegacy
PositionPG/SG
TeamLos Angeles Clippers
Three-point shot rating93
MyTEAM cost12k

The third name in this top five list is the Prince of Midair, World B. Free.

Free was a bit of a journeyman during his ten-year stint in the NBA, playing for no fewer than seven teams, however, he is best known for his time with the Clippers, then based in San Diego. Free only spent two years in San Diego but earned an All-NBA Second Team appearance in his first and then an All-Star appearance in his second.

In the 1979-80 season, he averaged an impressive 30.2 PPG for the Clippers, shooting at 36% from three-point range. It’s all about scoring with Free. His 92 outside scoring attribute is broken down into 92 close, 92 mid and 93 three-point shot, you will be able to nail down points from wherever on the court you please. He loves to showboat too, 95 rated in both flashy and alley-oop passing.

You can pick up his 91-rated card for around 12k on MyTEAM currently.

’97 Kenny Smith (OVR 88)

Card TypeSpotlight
PositionPG / SG
Team’93-’94 Houston Rockets
Three-point shooting90
MyTEAM cost2.5k

Continuing with the theme of past greats rather, we have the ’97 spotlight version of former Houston Rocket Kenny Smith.

‘The Jet’ spent six years in Houston with the Rockets, and whilst he may not have been known for his point-scoring, Kenny was a consistent threat from deep. His most memorable performance was when he dropped seven three-pointers in Game One of Houston’s 1995 NBA Finals sweep of the Magic. Smith’s career highs would come with Houston, as he would average 18 points and seven assists per in his first season with the Rockets after spending time with Sacramento and Atlanta the previous year.

He assisted the team in two consecutive titles during a stretch where every team was attempting to contend for a title with the loss of Michael Jordan. Paired up with the likes of Hakeem Olajuwon and Clyde Drexler for one of those seasons, Smith would average four assists per in both championship seasons and convert on 48 percent of his shots to assist the Rockets in their consecutive title victories.

He is handed a 90 rated three-ball shot on NBA 2K20 and can be picked up for just 2.5k mt coins.

’06 Nick Van Exel (OVR 92)

Card TypePrime VIP
PositionPG / SG
Team’97-’98 Los Angeles Lakers
Three-point shot rating89
MyTEAM Cost14.5k

The last name to make the list is the former LA Laker Nick ‘The Quick’ Nick Van Exel.

He did manage to average as many as nine assists per game with L.A. while never posting up anything less than six assists per. As well as being a solid passer that never averaged three turnovers per, Van Exel was also deadly from beyond the arc, as he would average better than two three-pointers per in two of his first four seasons in the league. The only problem was that Van Exel wasn’t too consistent of a shooter, and he shot 41 percent for his career.

As highlighted in the fastest point guards piece, Nick the Quick is trademarked for his lightning speed, both with and without the ball, and is a cheaper alternative to Jo Jo White for those who play fast-paced ball.

Van Exel comes in with an 89 in that department, to add to his 92 OVR rating. For 14.5k NBA 2K20 mt he is one of the better budget PG’s which you can pick up in the game today.

In addition to the best 3-point shooter point guard, we also provide other lists, such as Best Driving Dunkers, Best Centers, and Best Power Forwards, etc. You can check out by clicking on the link.

Best Power Forwards Under 50k in NBA 2K20 MyTeam

Previously we introduced point guards, shooting guards and small forwards, now let’s look at power forwards. When you think of the greatest power forwards of all time, names like Dirk Nowitzki, Kevin Garnett, and Tim Duncan come to mind. But in NBA 2k20 MyTeam, these players are very expensive. Today, through this list, we present the best power forwards under 50k in NBA 2k20 MyTeam, including Bob Love, Karl Malone, Kevin McHale, Christian Laettner, and Bobby Jones.

’77 Bob Love (OVR 95)

Card Type: Legacy
Position: PF / SF
Team: Chicago Bulls
Best stats: 98 offensive consistency, 97 shot IQ, 95 stamina
Cost: 43k

The best budget power forward on NBA 2K20 is the 95 rated Bulls legend Bob Love, who can be picked up for just over 40k.

A master with both hands (95 rated hands in-game), ‘Butterbean’, as he was affectionately known in his playing days, played for five teams during his 11 year NBA career, but is best remembered for his time in Chicago. Butterbean had quite the career, making the All-Star team three times, as well as the All-Defensive team five times. He even had his coveted number 10 shirt retired by the Bulls upon his retirement.

Given the fact he is so highly rated, Love isn’t just good at defending. As a matter of fact, despite his defensive rating is a massive 88, it is only his joint second-highest rating, with his 90 rated interiors scoring his best.

’04 Karl Malone (OVR 92)

Card Type: Spotlight
Position: PF / C
Team: ’97-’98 Utah Jazz
Best stats: 99 durabilities, 98 offensive consistency, 98 reaction time
Cost: 15k

The next name in the top five is the two time NBA MVP Karl Malone.

Arguably the greatest player to ever play for the Utah Jazz, Malone spent 18 years in Utah, making the All-Star team fourteen times during that stretch. Over the course of his career, he averaged a double-double with 25 PPG and 10.1 RPG.

A dominant guy on both ends of the floor, the power forward was a scoring machine while playing lockdown defense and owning the boards on a nightly basis. Malone is a beast in the paint, with his inside scoring (89 OVR) made up of 91 post moves, 85 standing dunk, and 85 driving dunks. For just 15k mt NBA 2k20 there is no doubt he would be a great signing for any side.

’93 Kevin McHale (OVR 92)

Card Type: Spotlight
Position: PF / C
Team: ’85-’86 Boston Celtics
Best stats: 98 stamina, 98 shot IQ, 95 offensive consistency
Cost: 11.5k

Kevin McHale is spending his full playing days in Boston with the Celtics and is known for being one of the best NBA power forwards of all time.

McHale was inducted into the NBA Hall of Fame in 1999. McHale spent his full playing career at the Boston Garden, winning three championships and making seven All-Star appearances.

Whilst he was no chump on offense – averaging 17.9 PPG – he was better known for his defensive abilities, highlighted by his 89 rated interior defense and his 94 picks and roll defense IQ. Scoring and rebounding are the two main attributes for McHale, who finished his playing days with a 17.6 PPG and 7.3 RPG average.

McHale can play in the central role, a nice versatile player who despite his 92 OVR, can be picked up for just 11.5k NBA2k20 mt coins.

’05 Christian Laettner (OVR 92)

Card Type: Prime VIP
Position: PF / C
Team: Atlanta Hawks
Best stats: 95 hustle, 95 hands, 95 shot IQ
Cost: 10k

Another player who comes in at less than 50k with a 92 OVR is the NBA journeyman Christian Laettner.

If you need a PF that can score from the post, this is your card. Laettner is one of the best Sapphire post players in the game, and can even stretch the floor with his deadly midrange. He’s not athletic by any means, but his defense is pretty decent, making him the best power forward available in the Sapphire token market.

It was in his time with Atlanta where he made his first and only NBA All-Star appearance in 1997. Whilst his NBA record is impressive, Laettner is better remembered for his time in college playing in the NCAA, with his time with the Duke Blue Devils regarded as one of the greatest in the history of the competition.

Christian’s hustle is his top-rated stat (95 OVR) and rightly so, he grafted from the first whistle to the last, picking up a whopping 5,806 rebounds in his NBA career (88 OVR).

’76 Bobby Jones (90 OVR)

Card Type: Legacy
Position: PF
Team: ’76-’77 Philadelphia 76ers
Best stats: 98 reaction time, 98 picks and roll defense IQ, 98 reaction time
Cost: 10k

The last name to make the list for the top five budget power forwards is the defensive machine, Bobby Jones.

A four-time All-Star and nine-time All-Defensive team member, putting up points wasn’t the aim for Bobby, it was all about those stops. Incredibly, Jones made the playoffs in every single season of his career and is widely considered to be one of the best defensive forwards of all-time.

His defending is rated 90 OVR on NBA 2K20, with his 88 rated perimeter and 89 rated interior defense showing that he can deal with whatever you throw at him, wherever it may be.

Jones played for two sides in his NBA career, starting with the Denver Nuggets before moving to the 76ers in 1978, where he remained for the rest of his career.

These are the best power forwards in the NBA 2k20 MyTeam at affordable prices. You can use them in a game for less than 50k.
