Brooklyn Nets

The Brooklyn Nets might’ve underperformed in the playoffs last season due to injuries, but they’re coming for the championship this year, and it’ll be tough to stop them.
With a trio of offensive superstars in James Harden, Kevin Durant, and Kyrie Irving taking the floor, the Nets have so many ways to drop buckets of points a night in and night out. Also, the Nets received unexpected good news in the return of LaMarcus Aldridge. Aside from getting Aldridge back, the Nets bolstered their depth with the signings of Paul Millsap and Patty Mills.
With these many All-Stars and potential future Hall of Fame players on the roster, there’s no doubt that the Brooklyn Nets deserve the best team in NBA 2K22.
Milwaukee Bucks

Coming off an NBA championship, the Milwaukee Bucks are looking to repeat this season.
NBA Finals MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo leads this squad backed by scoring machines Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday. Add vet big men Brook Lopez and Bobby Portis down low, and you’ve got, well, a championship-caliber squad. Also, Milwaukee will have Donte DiVincenzo returning from his foot injury, and they acquired Grayson Allen from the Memphis Grizzlies.
The Bucks hope to be the first back-to-back NBA champions since the Golden State Warriors in 2017 and 2018.
Atlanta Hawks

If you love playing the point guard position and scoring, you and the Atlanta Hawks will be the perfect fit.
All-Star shooting specialist Trey Young leads the Atlanta Hawks. Clint Capela and John Collins hold the Hawks’ low post, which means plenty of offensive rebounds that can come back into the hands of your dominant shooters. Plus, there are solid scoring options in Bogdanovic, Huerter, and Hunter.
Boston Celtics

If you want to be a part of a big three and be competitive right away, the Boston Celtics might be your best choice.
They are built around two versatile young wings with many upsides: Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum. Rob Williams handles the paint and is always set for some killer alley-oops, while the addition of Dennis Schroder this off-season gives the team much-needed guard power.
The Celtics are a great all-around team and fit pretty much any playstyle.
Philadelphia 76ers

For now, the Philadelphia 76ers are among the most talented teams in the NBA.
Even though the future of Ben Simmons is still up the air, the 76ers are still a force to be reckoned with in the East. Joel Embiid will continue to be a dominant force down low – as long as he can stay healthy. With Ben Simmons possibly traded soon, the Sixers will need another star to play alongside Embiid. Ideally, a guard can run the floor, provide instant offense, and score beyond the arc. If you feel like you are up to the challenge with your SG build, then Philly might be a good fit for you.
Los Angeles Lakers

After suffering his first-ever first-round playoff loss, LeBron James has assembled a new Los Angeles Lakers squad.
First, the team acquired star point guard Russell Westbrook from the Washington Wizards to be the third star with James and Anthony Davis. Throw in DeAndre Jordan, Carmelo Anthony, and Rajon Rondo, all former stars in their own right, and you’ve got a team full of vets that can beat you in so many ways.
If you want to play as a team where any player can dominate, the Lakers are the team for you.
Los Angeles Clippers

The Los Angeles Clippers roster is an absolute killer on 2K22.
Both Paul George and Kawhi Leonard can score from anywhere on the court and are tough match-ups for any other team. Morris and Ibaka are less-than-stellar and can hinder the team on the interior, but they aren’t bottom feeders, and good passing can cover up their weaknesses.
As an elite team, the Clippers are another team that’s great for all-around play.
Phoenix Suns
Projected starting lineup:

The biggest surprise from last season came from the Valley of the Sun. The Phoenix Suns returned to the postseason spectacularly by reaching their first NBA Finals since 1993.
Many will credit the acquisition of Chris Paul in the previous offseason, which finally saw stability at the point guard position and a highly competent running mate for fellow superstar Devin Booker. And let’s not forget about the former number one pick, Deandre Ayton. He is a beast in the paint and is good for some low-post scoring and elite rebounding. The rest of the roster has no serious specialists but is filled with great all-around players.
Denver Nuggets
Projected starting lineup:

• Michael Porter Jr. 84

Denver Nuggets have the reigning MVP in Nikola Jokic certainly helps out their cause. The big man can hit shots anywhere on the court, is an elite rebounder, and knows how to lock up opponents down low. He’s also the best big passer in the league, so full-court outlet passes on fast breaks will be your bread and butter. Plus, the rest of the team is filled up with 3-point and scoring specialists — Jamal Murray, Michael Porter Jr., and Aaron Gordon are all players who can drop buckets from all over.
The Nuggets can be an extremely fun or annoying team with their superb three-point shooting across the board.
Golden State Warriors

With Steph Curry coming off an MVP season and Klay Thompson finally making his storied return, on top of the solidified roles of Draymond Green and Andrew Wiggins within the starting lineup.
The Warriors are a blast to play with, and the 3-point scoring capabilities of the stars can swing a game in your favor in just a couple of possessions.
