Comparing the player rating data of NBA 2k19, some players have progressed, some arguably regressed, and some are flying under the radar and maybe should be considered at a higher value than they are right now. So let’s take a look at the most underrated players in the NBA this season.

James Harden – 96 overall
James Harden is coming off one of the best offensive EVER, yet he was rated just a 96 overall by NBA 2K20. Averaging over 36 points a game on great efficiency while being an underrated defender is well-deserving of at least a 97 overall. He’s tied with Kevin Durant, who will be coming off of a torn Achilles. Harden is also one overall higher than Stephen Curry, who is a 95.

Anthony Davis – 94 Overall
Although a 94 rating is nothing to turn your nose up at, Anthony Davis has consistently been at the forefront of the debate for the NBA’s best big man and is an absolute force on both ends of the floor. After all, prior to last year, Davis averaged 28.0 and 28.1 points, along with more than 11.0 rebounds per game in the two previous seasons. While other top NBA stars received ratings of 95 or higher, Davis comes in slightly too low.

Damian Lillard – 92 Overall
Playing in Portland doesn’t help Damian Lillard get enough superstar praise, he has averaged more than 25 points per game for four straight seasons and his 2018-19 numbers were incredible, he finished with 25.8 points, 6.9 assists and 4.6 rebounds in 35.5 minutes over 80 regular-season games, shooting 44.4 percent from the field and 36.9 percent from beyond the arc. He’s in the argument as the NBA’s best point guard, and the player who earns that title or is even in the mix should be rated above a 92.

Nikola Jokic – 90 Overall
For the last two seasons, Nuggets center Nikola Jokic has quietly been one of the best centers in the league. In 2019, Jokic averaged a near triple-double with 20.1 points, 10.8 rebounds, and 7.3 assists. While his outside scoring ability leaves some to be desired, Jokic should have an overall rating in the 92-93 range.

Russell Westbrook – 90 Overall
There’s no better place to begin than with Mr. Triple-Double himself, Russell Westbrook, who certainly didn’t get enough love. Russell Westbrook shot just 42.8 percent from the field and 29.0 from beyond the arc last year but he has averaged a triple-double in three straight seasons and he deserved a better rating. I would have given him a 92 rating, not 90.

Jayson Tatum – 85 Overall
Seven overall points are better than Gordon despite scoring fewer points per game on a worse team last season. Jayson Tatum does some other things better than Gordon, and clearly has a boost because of his huge potential, but the discrepancy here is absurd – Tatum will earn that rating someday but he’s not there yet.

Kyle Kuzma – 84 Overall
Kyle Kuzma shot 30.3% from three last season which ranked second-worst in the league and outscored EG by just 2.5 points per game.

Draymond Green – 83 Overall
Another underrated player in 2K20 is Warriors’ forward Draymond Green. On a team with three superstars, Green averaged 7.4 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 6.9 assists, along with 1.4 steals and a block per game. Without Green, it’s hard to picture Golden State having the success they’ve had in the last five years. When you factor in the versatility Green brings to his team, his rating should be around 85.

JJ Reddick – 80 Overall
New Orleans Pelicans shooting guard JJ Reddick is slightly underrated in the latest 2K installment. Instead of an 80 overall, 82-83 seems more deserved. Reddick, a 14-year veteran, is known primarily as a sharp-shooter, but overall is a great scorer. He is coming off a career-high season in points, where he averaged 18.1 on 44 percent from the field and 40 percent from deep.

Derrick Rose – 80 Overall
If Derrick Rose can get another healthy season under his belt, his 2K20 rating could be too low. Off the bench last season, Rose averaged 18 points and 4.3 assists per game for the Timberwolves. While a batch of injuries stopped his initial stardom, Rose’s 2019 season could be a sign of things to come.

Eric Gordon – 78 Overall
Eric Gordon isn’t quite an all-star, but he did win the Sixth Man of the Year Award two years ago and has continued since then to be one of the league’s best three-point shooters and backup scoring options. Scoring 16.2 points and nailing 3.2 threes per game last season should have been enough to get Gordon to at least an 80 overall in 2K Sports upcoming video game, NBA 2K20, but it wasn’t.
